The COA Executive Team, also known, as the COA ExTeam, is the official working arm of the COA Executive Board. Members of the ExTeam have the opportunity to be part of the unified efforts of the Council to reach its goal of developing leaders and developing organizations. A myriad of opportunities for personal growth and genuine service await the ExTeam, with many of its year-long members who garnered a deeper understanding of commitment and service becoming the next leaders of their respective organizations — from their organizations’ Executive Boards, to Org Presidents, to Sanggu Officers, to Central Board members, or even volunteers and officers of their barangay. There is definitely a whole new dimension of service discovered in working in the Council. There are a total of six ExTeams, each characterized by its functional and auxillary services. Each ExTeam is headed by a member of the Executive Board of the Council, committed to guiding the ExTeam members in their journey of service.

The Office of the Secretary-General has been institutionalized to better address the branding, promotion, documentation, logistics and information dissemination of the Council. The Sec-Gen ExTEam members are also deployed to the Promotions, Manuals and Sec-Gen Teams of the special projects of the Council.

The Office of the Finance Officer offers two main services to COA: Finance and Marketing. It works closely with the different departments of the council since the ExTeam serves as the official finance and marketing teams of all council projects, as well as some cluster projects. Other than this, the ExTeam members serve as consultants in crafting effective financial and marketing procedures for the council and for the organizations.

The Organization Strategies and Research (OSR) Department is the auditing and consulting arm of COA. We help you conduct an objective and effective evaluation of your organization to uncover opportunities for long-term growth. With these opportunities uncovered, we will help you arrive at knowledge-based strategies and solutions using sound research methodologies—looking at both quantitative and qualitative date to arrive at relevant conclusions.

We are not just about numbers, graphs and data. We in OSR are dedicated in helping your organizations grow by identifying opportunities and strategies for your organization’s long-term development because we believe that the growth of the council is not mutually exclusive to the organizations—we grow together.

The OSR team is composed of our Research Directors and our partner research and consulting organizations in the council.

The Department of Special Projects is tasked with effectively planning and implementing the Council’s campus-wide projects, namely:

RecWeek – COA’s official gateway to org life where students are invited to immerse themselves in Ateneo’s wide array of student groups and organizations.

Blue Christmas – One of Ateneo’s biggest Christmas events where COA, in partnership with the OUDAR, holds a day-long Christmas celebration with kids from various sectors of the community.

COA Awards – A year-end awarding ceremony wherein outstanding student leaders and organizations are recognized for their various accomplishments throughout the year.

Also known as COA’s flagship project, IgNation is a 3-day leadership seminar which aims to provide graduating student leaders with a synthesis of their college life in the hope of developing future leaders who will contribute to nation-building through directed positive action.

The Training and Development Department’s key business is to recognize and provide services to organizations regarding the development of their human resources. Services include crafting, designing, analyzing, handling, conducting and executing trainings and other human resource development needs of different organizations.

The Training and Development Department performs its functions mainly through its Executive Team or ExTeam. Members of the department’s ExTeam are called Training Directors and are headed by the ex-officio Chairperson, the Vice President for Training and Development.
