Kenneth Isaiah I. Abante

President

True to his love of Philosophy, Ken wields the power of the highest position in COA with a firm yet caring hand. Always committing his full time, energy and passion (“and love even more!”) to the Council, he hopes to inspire others to “grow in service as well”.

And though being the COA President may be a daunting task, Ken never fails to wear a positive and lively attitude, even making a hobby out of spontaneous singing, “I sing in the bathroom, in the hallways, with people, without people, while studying for an exam and even sleepsing.”

Joseph Erico P. Teoxon

Chief-of-Staff

“I LOVE FILMS!” With his enthusiasm for the cinema and his skill in video directing and editing, Teox became last year’s MCA Cluster Head. Truly, under his care, MCA orgs thrived in their respective creative avenues. And this year, he shows another side of himself as he becomes the COA Chief of Staff. A department that concentrates on human development, Teox’s sensitivity and listening skills make him the right man for the job. COA will surely have an awesome year this year with Teox’s creativity and keen understanding on its side.

Carolyn Suzanne P. Barba

Secretary-General

“SG stands for Sec-Gen, and service and generosity.” Embodying this very statement is this year’s COA Secretary-General Suzie Barba. Her remarkable work ethics coupled with her bigheartedness makes her an essential ingredient in the big bowl of warm “all heart in service” that the central board is cooking for the organizations this year.

Suzie started immersing herself in the COA culture last year as a Sec-Gen ExTeam member and now she takes significant part in enriching it with her passion for her work and not to mention her fun ways of helping form a cohesive central board, “CB has dubbed me as VP for OP (Ordinary Projects) as I initiate random bondings and hangouts.”

Eldridge Myles L. Tan

Finance Officer

With his specks and clean-cut outfits, you’d think Dridge is a guy who takes his work seriously. And he does, most ardently. But with a flashed smile and a few lines of conversation, you might just find out his other love – Pokémon. As this year’s COA Finance Officer, Dridge with his professionalism dabbed with his child-like creativity offers an economic perspective that goes beyond the value of money, “I’m the guy who’ll always be there to remind everyone that big is not always expensive, that fun can be cheap, and that service is priceless.”

Irwin Angelo M. Amago

VP for Organization Strategies and Research

To a normal college student, meeting a Physics major such as this year’s VP for ORD Irwin Amago might be just a little intimidating. Wearing his love for numbers with pride, he was last year’s LeaPs president and solves complicated math and physics problems during his free time.  But don’t let those dominate your view of him. Irwin isn’t a stereotype.

He loves to interact with people, always participating in CG bondings and little get-togethers. And like most, he has these little quirks that make you think he must’ve had a funny episode during his childhood, “I don’t eat veggies and clowns freak me out.” This year, with Irwin’s love of numbers and his openness heading it, the ORD department has a lot more than just statistics and graphs to give the orgs.

Charla Larraine S. Tsoi

VP for Special Projects

“I have the best poker face. It’s like this :l”

Anyone who has ever talked to Charla would know that she has an unbelievably impenetrable stoic humor, much aided by her facial disposition of non-expression. She could tell you that all of this isn’t real and looking into those unwavering eyes you would believe her and wonder for a second if you’re experiencing Inception.

Her nonchalance though, doesn’t go deeper than the aesthetics. With being an SP ExTeam member and Blue Christmas project deputy last year to being this year’s VP for SP, Charla’s all about events, events, events! Though she may poke fun of you with her poker face, deep inside, she just really wants “awesome campus-wide events for every org member :>” (note the smiley).

Denzel Jullian C. Dy

VP for Training and Development

Being a TD ExTeam member the previous year, Denzel has step upped his game by taking up the position of VP for Training and Development this year, continuing to offer quality trainings and consultations to the orgs. Be wary though, he has a twin and he’s in the same ExTeam! But if ever you’re stuck in a dilemma of finding out which one’s which, just attack one of them and whoever flings a badass kick in your way would definitely be Denzel. As expected of a black belter in Taekwondo, of course.

He may seem quiet during meetings, but when he speaks, everybody listens – not because he can kick your butt if you don’t but because he always offers great insights to the issue being tackled. With a great man of few words and powerful passion leading them, the TD Department would definitely give the orgs a great year!
