What is COA?

The Council of Organizations of the Ateneo (COA) is an autonomous sector of the Sanggunian ng mga Mag-aaral ng mga Paaralang Loyola ng Pamantasang Ateneo de Manila. It is the liaison between the member organizations and the Office of Student Activities, and the other Loyola Schools offices, student and external groups.

 

Vision Statement

The council envisions itself as a community of Ateneo student organizations united in developing Ateneans to become active, competent, and holistically formed leaders who initiate positive changes within the Ateneo community and in the greater society through the Ignatian tradition of service and excellence.

 

Mission Statement

As the Council of Organizations of the Ateneo (COA), we aim to develop quality organizations thereby providing Ateneans venues for spiritual growth, professional competence, social involvement, health, environmental and political awareness, cultural-rootedness, and artistic expression by leading organizations to be united, effective, empowered and systematic through proper guidance, dialogue and support.

 

Thrust

  • Internal: As the Council of Organizations of the Ateneo 2011-2012, we aim to institutionalize a sustainable org-initiated culture of collaboration through transparency, consultation, andstreamlining basic services and activities for and by organizations, guided by the principle of participative representation and sustainable transitions.
  • External: As the Council of Organizations of the Ateneo 2011-2012, we aim to make sustainable organizational partnerships geared towards directed, positive action, through providing avenues for dialogue and building relationships with external institutions, guided by the principle of participative representation and sustainable transitions.
